Giovanni Vittorio Bonaldo started
out specialising in the processing
of metals used
in the furnishing industry.

His son Albino Bonaldo began
the hand-made production of bedsteads,
beds and mattresses.
1971
First appearance of the Bonaldo brand
at the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
1980
In the year that Styling was founded, specialising
in transformable padded furnishings, the company introduced a new concept of sofa-bed;
a sofa-bed as an item of furniture
and not just an emergency solution.
1981
Foundation of Bonaldo SpA.
1996
The folding chair Più, designed by
Chiaramonte and Marin, won the Young & Design Award.
2004
The Pierrot sofa by Glenn Thomas won
the Good Design Award by the Chicago Athenaeum.
2006
The three main companies in the Group
- Bonaldo Spa, Styling Srl and Led & Co. Srl -
merged to form a single company.
2008
The Poly chair, by Karim Rashid, won the Best Design 2007,
the Good Design Award 2008 and the Red Dot Award 2008.
2010
Big Table was recognised internationally
as the iconic Bonaldo product.
2011
Bonaldo inaugurated the company showroom based on a design
by Mauro Lipparini, a 6000 m2 exhibition area for which
it won its tenth Good Design Award.
2013
The table Still by Bartoli Design, was awarded with the 2012 Good Design Award and the Red Dot Award;
the table Welded by Alain Gilles won the "Red Dot: Best of the Best".
2014
The Octa table by Bartoli Design
won the 2013 Good Design Award.
2015
Tracks table, by Alain Gilles,
was awarded with 2014 Good Design Award

80th anniversary of the company foundation.
